Artist Statement
My practice investigates the fragility of the natural world, navigating the intersections of impermanence, eco-psychology, and our profound interconnection with the landscape. Utilizing digital Jacquard technology, I translate ecological data and environmental crises into tactile, handwoven narratives. I hope these works serve as a site for contemplation, challenging viewers to question their role within a shifting ecosystem. By integrating these nature-inspired weavings into domestic spaces, I seek to foster an intimate sense of belonging and awareness of our interconnection with Nature, while at the same time emphasizing the vital need of environmental stewardship for our collective survival.
